2AD Space Architects Inc. is a company of architects based in Somerset West with 20 years of experience in the industry and over 60 years of collective knowledge between them. The company, driven by a passion for real excellence and a commitment to a collaborative approach, provides professional services in all aspects of planning, architecture and building management.
Our guiding principal is a strong client/architect relationship, the benefits of which are a clearer vision and the fuller realisation of that creativity.
We are a team of strong individuals, each with our own passions, inspirations and fields of expertise, but with a collective vision. That vision is the belief that positive spaces make positive people - and our own offices walk that talk: through a combination of sound spatial planning, intriguing use of materials and compelling colour combinations, we have created an energising environment for the fashioning of compelling architecture. And our team ethos goes further - our collaborative approach to design means that each team member brings something unique to every project, working closely with the final member of that team – you, the client.

Architecture and the sustainable debate
We at 2AD Space Architects Inc. believe that, despite the obvious challenges, we are at the beginning of an overwhelming movement towards .
As a practice we have invested both time and resources in ensuring we are an integral part of that progress. Our directors and staff are involved in training aimed at resolving issues around sustainable architecture.
Through ongoing investigation and discussions we ensure that the latest trends in sustainable architecture are fed to clients, the majority of whom are eager and willing to embrace new ideas and technologies.
Civil responsibility and 2AD Space Build
We acknowledge that our practice exists in a society that is still beset with inequalities – of income, access to design and new ideas.
To this end we have launched 2AD Space Build, which aims at providing free professional architectural service in areas where we believe good, sustainable design can make a difference.
The Ikhayalethemba Village (administered by the Nceduluntu Trust) in Nomzamo, is an example. 2AD Space Build has assisted in the upliftment of the Nceduluntu Sanctuary by providing expertise in the building of additional accommodation, a laundry and a bakery, as well as giving long term financial help to assist in the management of the village.
