Jurgens Philip Hanekom (Dip Iuris; B.Proc; LLB; LLM- Labour Law; Member of the Independent Association of Advocates of South Africa; Member of South Africa Society of Labour Law)  is a seasoned, self-employed advocate, former policeman and prosecutor with more than 30 years of experience in criminal law, labour law, mediation, litigation, with a string of practice areas and sub-practice areas under his belt. He also has extensive practice as a trial lawyer that spans a vast spectrum of law. In addition, he is an active arbitrator / mediator boasting an impressive success record and above average skills in cross- examination, analysis, problem solving, judgement, decision making, planning, and organising in more than 3000 cases.

As a labour lawyer he has acted as representative and legal adviser to several parties in more than 1000 cases to date that include matters in High Court (High Court, Labour Court, and Labour Appeal Court). This comprises dispute resolution, mediation, disciplinary hearings, and forensic investigations in respect of corruption, fraud, theft, and etcetera.
