Hazendal Wine Estate is situated along the picturesque and dreamy Bottelary Hills in Stellenbosch. The area is home to some of the country's most exquisite wines and estates. First established in 1699, this Stellenbosch winery is one of the oldest in South Africa. With a rich history and colourful heritage, the once dilapidated wine farm was purchased by the chairman of MARVOL Management (Pty) Ltd., SA Dr Mark Voloshin and his longstanding friend and business partner Leo Schumacher. Both are Russian-born entrepreneurs and extensive investment was put into rebuilding the farm to its former glory.
Blending the unique cultures of Russia and South Africa, the Hazendal team has created a wine estate like no other in the country.
